Sonshine House Preschool held their annual Mother’s Retreat Breakfast at First Lutheran Church on Friday May 8. The room was festively decorated with hand colored butterflies by the children. In attendance were mothers,
grandmothers, and aunts of the preschoolers. City Dignitaries including Mayor Judy Wong and Parks and Recreation Chairman Nannette Fish, and Pastor Reverend David B. Hill and Principal Richard Swanson were invited to the breakfast as special guests. The children served their mothers orange juice and had a special handmade gift for them on the tables. After a tasty buffet breakfast the preschoolers serenaded the crowd with mother songs. A teary-eyed slideshow of all the children then followed. The event was organized by the Director of Sonshine House Theresa Chesshir.
