Hollywood Fringe Festival audiences have not one, but two, gripping reasons to attend the world premiere of the Nick DeRuve play Runaway: The Story Of An Outlaw.
In addition to presenting a 35 minute strong play which has an old outlaw reminiscing on his one true love and pondering if a life lived alone, is a life lived at all,Runaway: The Story Of An Outlaw, also sets the stage for a full length feature film.
Currently in post-production and marking U.S. and Thailand based production and servicing company Benetone Hillin Entertainment’s entry in to the artistic film genre,The Runaway further shares the dramatic story about an old fugitive, finally discovered by the law, as he reflects on his younger years of excitement, adventure and heartbreak. Producers of the film include DeRuve, Daemon Hillin and Diondra Meravi. Executive Producers are Richard Hench, Rachvin Narula and Kulthep Narula.
DeRuve wrote and directs both the play and the feature film based on his original story.
Runaway: The Story Of An Outlaw features an ensemble cast including Brandon Elonzae and Richard Hench, who also portray the younger and older version of the fugitive in the film adaptation.
The play, by Read Between The Lines Productions and presented by The Complex Hollywood located at 6476 Santa Monica Boulevard, is scheduled to run four more times throughout the festival on June 21, 22, 26 and 27. Tickets are $15.00 and can be purchased online by visiting www.hollywoodfringe.org.
