Arcadia resident Natalie Anne Innocenzi,16-year-old Rose Princess and student at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, was selected by the Tournament of Roses as the 92nd Rose Queen this morning.
Speaking with the Pasadena Independent last week after being selected as one of the seven finalists, Innocenzi said she was humbled by her selection at that she knew the competition was stiff.
“I hope to show that everyone can make a difference. It only takes one person to make a change and I would like to help others realize that they can be that change.” Said Innocenzi.
“If I were to be selected as Rose Queen, that would be an incredible honor, but I believe that everyone on the court is qualified for the job.”
The seven finalist Rose Princesses were announced early last week. They included Ashley Thaxton, 17, of Altadena, John Marshall Fundamental; Michelle Van Wyk, 17, of La Canada Flintridge, La Canada High School; Katherine Hernandez, 18, of Pasadena, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy; June Ko, 17, of Arcadia, Arcadia High School; Kinsey Stuart, 18, of South Pasadena, Pasadena City College; Lauren Rogers, 17, of Altadena, Blair High School.
