Fifteen students from Emperor Elementary School excelled in the Los Angeles County Science Olympiad on February 28, 2009 at California State University at Los Angeles.
Sean Cho, William Fang, Ingrid Heumann, Howard Leong, Godwin Liang, Meishan Liang, Calvin Nguyen, Janabelle Peng, Kelly Quach, Derek So, Kyle Su, Tiffany Tsai, Sarah Wright, Anita Wu, and Greta Xiong celebrated their outstanding achievement!
Emperor’s fourth grade teacher, Paul Sherman, led the team’s success. The team consisted of 4th, 5th and 6th graders.
The Los Angeles County Science Olympiad, now more than 20 years old, is a regional competition held between teams of students representing elementary, middle, and high schools. The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers.
