Methodist Hospital will be celebrating its 54th Holiday Homes Tour on December 5, 2008. This year’s Holiday Homes Tour will feature three beautiful homes in the area that will be decorated in different styles of décor and will showcase the work of three professional decorators.
In addition, participants will have admission to the tea house at Ayers Hall at the Arborteum of Los Angeles County. The tea house will feature vendors offering a wide variety of products including, but not limited to, hand made arts and crafts, candles, jewelry and personalized ornaments.
“The tour began as a grass roots effort of the Auxiliary of Methodist Hospital as a fundraising effort to aid in the relocation and building of Methodist Hospital from downtown Los Angeles to the city of Arcadia,” said Diane Bade, director of volunteer services.
“The Tour has raised monies for equipment, buildings and technology over the years. Hundreds of community volunteers have contributed to the success of this tradition.”
All proceeds from the Holiday Homes Tour will support The Next Generation of Care campaign toward a new patient tower which will include an expanded emergency department and additional ICU beds.
The event will continue throughout the day starting at 9 a.m. and will go on until 8 p.m. Tickets for the event can be purchased for $30 before the tour and $35 if purchased on the day of the tour.
