The Arcadia Association of REALTORS recently installed the new 2009 Officers and Directors at the Annual Inaugural Celebration held on Friday, December 5 at the newly remodeled Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Monrovia. More than 210 REALTORS and guests attended “The Show Must Go On” themed gala.
Master of Ceremony for the evening was Arcadia Association Co-Chairman, Dave Culwell with Keller Williams in Pasadena. The Installation ceremony was conducted by the President-Elect of the California Association of REALTORS, Steve Goddard.
The Officers installed were: Andy Bencosme, President; Jeanne Keating, President-Elect; Ryan Asao, Vice President and Paulina Lee, Secretary/Treasurer. The 2009 Directors are: Dawn Cassel-Lager, Randall Traw, Dave Scarminach, George Monte, Richard Streitz, Nick Zigic, Jenny Hsieh, Jill Nelson and Kelvin Wong.
The Installation ceremony of 2009 President, Andy Bencosme and Officers and Directors was followed by the presentation of the coveted “REALTOR of the Year” award presented to Larry Kallis, Century 21 Earll, LTD, and the “Affiliate of the Year” award presented to Julie Roybal, Nancy Bond Insurance Services.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Dave Scarminach of Baldwin Real Estate Services.
Surprises during the evening included an extraordinary sparkling birthday cake for incoming AAR President, Andy Bencosme, followed by the traditional birthday wishes.
Outgoing President, George Monte, received special honorariums and recognization from Senator David Dreier, Supervisor Mike Antonovich, Senator Bob Huff, Assemblyman Anthony Adams, Assemblyman, Anthony Portantino, Arcadia City Mayor, Bob Harbicht, Monrovia City Mayor, Rob Hammond and a special presentation by Carol Quan, representing the office of the Los Angeles County Assessor, Rick Auerbach. Acknowledgement of special guests included twelve Arcadia Association Past Presidents and Presidents and Association Executives from several neighboring Associations.
The talented Arcadia High School Chanteurs provided the entertainment for the evening which concluded with dancing to the music of Killer B.E.E.
