Sock O Rama and Santa’s Paws and Claws Drive Nets 3600 Items for Local Charities

This year’s Temple City Sock O Rama and More plus the Paws and Claws holiday drives netted over 3,600 items.
On Wednesday representatives from some of the organizations stopped by City Hall for a photo opportunity and to pick up the goodies generously donated by businesses and individuals in Temple City. The recipients include Friends in Deed ( assisting low income and homeless men women and children), Foothill Unity Center, The Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center ( assisting veterans).
Everything from socks, t shirts, boxer shorts from the Amida Society were donated. The Kiwanis Club donated as well. Major donations from the Tennis Club and Scout Pack 135. Stars Club members donated 1006 pairs of socks and 255 men’s boxer shorts.
The Amida Society donated $1500 to the drive. The Amida Buddha society is located in Temple City.

000 Canine and Feline friends were not forgotten this holiday too. Assorted cats and dog toys and canned and bags of food were donated as well as towels and sheets.
