Trial Continued Again – $75 Million Piazza Project Hearing Continued to Nov. 23.

August 24th, 2009 by Temple City Tribune

The hearing originally scheduled for Monday morning Aug 24 in downtown Los Angeles has yet again been continued. The trial had originally been slated for last month, however due to the criminal investigation into alleged bribery and perjury by Temple City officials.
Councilwoman Judy Wong, former Councilman David Capra, former Mayor Cathe Wilson and former City Council candidate Scott Carwile are all accused ( by Randy Wang , the developer of the Piazza) of soliciting bribes.

Capra and Carwile have both pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations. In June a judge unsealed a 21-count indictment returned by the Los Angeles County Grand Jury against Wong, Wilson and Carwile.
