TCUSD Kicks Off School Year honors teachers, employees

Over 400 teachers, classified employees, and administrators attended TCUSD’s annual back-to-school gathering on September 3 at Oak Avenue Intermediate School. While flipping pancakes, Board Member Matt Smith thanked employees for their dedication and commitment to students.
Superintendent Kang-Smith challenged employees to expand the District’s healthy theme to include Copa de Vida (Cup of Life) – trust, embrace, interact, and give back.
Matt Smith was honored for his 15 years of dedicated service on the Board of Education. Mr. Smith’s wisdom, guidance and direction have promoted student success and strengthened the positive bond between the community and schools.
Julio Fonseca, Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Services, presented service recognition awards to 50 employees totaling 835 years of service!
10 Year Service Awards: Ofelia Arroyo, Seammoy Chun, Heather Endow, Leanne Frontuto, Kristy Jackson, David Jaynes, Winnie Joe, Heather Kincart, Vicky Lin, Roberta Molina, Linda Oberlander-Gonzalez, Loyal Perry, Anthonetha Sapija, Deanne Sciarrotta, and Emily Trujillo.
15-Year Service Awards: Sue Anderson, Teresita Briones, Kathryn Corradi, Rana Fakhro, Dan Ferguson, Maria Ioele, Timothy Martin, Melissa Noelte, Irene Perez, Katie Rose, Myra Ruedel, Jeanne St. Pierre, Dennis Stahl, Diane Swartzbaugh, Wendy Van Thiel, and Denise Wong.
